Weltrade Demo Account: How to Open It and Use It Well

Reading 4 min Published by October 22, 2026

A Weltrade demo account lets you trade with virtual money on real market quotes. It is the safest way to test MetaTrader, Weltrade’s SyntX synthetic instruments and your own strategy before risking a cent. Here is how to open one, which settings to choose and how to get the most out of it.

How to open a Weltrade demo account

On the website

  1. Register or log in to your Personal Profile on weltrade.com.
  2. Go to Dashboard → My accounts → Demo → Open New Demo Account.
  3. Choose the settings (see below) and confirm.
  4. The account appears in your list immediately, pre-funded with virtual money.

In the mobile app

Log in to the Weltrade app, tap the option to open a new demo account, select your settings and confirm.

Which settings to choose

Setting Recommendation
Platform MT5 — it supports every account type, including SyntX
Account type The same type you plan to use for real (e.g. Pro or SyntX)
Currency USD, same as your future real account
Virtual balance A realistic amount you would actually deposit, not the maximum
Leverage The same leverage you plan to use; options such as 1:100, 1:500, 1:1000

The most common demo mistake is training with $100,000 and huge leverage, then trading $100 for real. Your demo should copy your real conditions.

Logging in to the demo in MT4/MT5

Your demo account number, trader password and demo server name are shown in the Personal Profile. In MetaTrader choose File → Login to Trade Account, select the demo server (not the live one) and enter the details. Using the live server for a demo account is the main reason for “invalid account” errors.

SyntX demo

If you are interested in synthetic indices (FX Vol, PainX/GainX, FlipX…), open a SyntX demo. These instruments trade 24/7 with 1:10000 leverage on the real account, so practice is essential before going live.

Weltrade demo contests

Weltrade has a long history of demo trading contests, where traders compete on demo accounts for real cash prizes. They are a risk-free way to test a strategy under pressure. Contests run periodically; check the Promotions section of your Personal Profile for current ones and read the rules — prizes are usually credited to a real account with conditions.

Demo vs real account

  • Execution: demo fills can be smoother than real ones, especially during news.
  • Psychology: losing virtual money feels very different from losing real money.
  • Expiry: some demo accounts may expire after a period of inactivity.

When to switch to a real account

  1. You have followed one strategy for at least several weeks with consistent rules.
  2. You know your average loss, win rate and maximum drawdown.
  3. You can calculate lot size from risk per trade.

Then start with a small real balance — Weltrade’s Micro and Cent accounts start from $1 and Pro from $10. Compare them in Weltrade account types.

FAQ

Is the Weltrade demo account free?

Yes. It is funded with virtual money and requires only a Personal Profile.

Can I open a SyntX demo account?

Yes, SyntX is among the account types available for demo trading on MT5.

Does the Weltrade demo account expire?

Duration depends on platform rules; inactive demo accounts may expire. You can always open a new one.

Risk warning: demo results do not guarantee real results. CFDs and synthetic indices carry a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage.
