Weltrade is often compared with two other brokers popular in Asia, Africa and Latin America: Exness and Deriv. Exness is a large multi-licensed forex broker, while Deriv is the best-known provider of synthetic indices — the same niche Weltrade targets with SyntX. Weltrade vs Exness
Regulation
Exness has a clear advantage: it holds several licences, including tier-1 regulators in Europe and the UK. Note, however, that most clients outside the EU and UK are onboarded under its Seychelles entity, which offers less protection than CySEC or the FCA. Weltrade’s licensed entity is in South Africa (FSCA), while its international clients deal with an offshore IBC.
Costs and accounts
Weltrade has a lower entry point ($1 cent accounts, $10 Pro account) and its Pro account offers commission-free spreads from 0.5 pips. Exness is known for tight raw-spread and zero accounts and very fast automated withdrawals. For low-budget traders Weltrade is more accessible; for high-volume traders Exness’s pricing and liquidity are hard to beat. Weltrade’s full cost table is in Weltrade spreads and fees.
Platforms
Both offer MT4 and MT5. Exness adds its own web terminal and trading app; Weltrade adds a mobile app for trading and account management and built-in copy trading.
Verdict
Choose Exness if regulatory depth and scale matter most. Choose Weltrade if you want a very small starting deposit, cent accounts or SyntX synthetic instruments that Exness does not offer.
Weltrade vs Deriv
Synthetic indices
This is the core of the comparison. Deriv pioneered synthetic indices: Volatility indices, Crash/Boom, Jump, Step and many others, tradable as CFDs on MT5 as well as options and multipliers on its own platforms. Weltrade SyntX is a newer range with its own behaviour models — FX Vol, SFX Vol, PainX/GainX, FlipX, SwitchX, BreakX and TrendX — traded on MT5 with fixed 1:10000 leverage. Both trade 24/7 and are generated by algorithms, not by real markets. The instruments are not interchangeable: a strategy built for Deriv’s Volatility 75 will not behave the same on Weltrade’s FX Vol, so test on demo first.
Regulation
Deriv has an EU licence in Malta, but synthetic indices are offered through its offshore entities (Labuan, Vanuatu, BVI). Weltrade’s synthetics are offered through its offshore Saint Lucia company. In both cases synthetic indices trading happens under offshore-level protection.
Platforms
Deriv has a wider choice of proprietary platforms (Deriv Trader, Deriv Bot for no-code automation, cTrader). Weltrade keeps things simpler with MT4/MT5, its app and copy trading.
Verdict
Choose Deriv if you want the broadest synthetic catalogue, options and no-code bots. Choose Weltrade if you prefer MetaTrader-only execution, want to combine synthetics with forex in one profile, or like Weltrade’s specific SyntX behaviours and its promotions.
Which broker should you choose?
- Safety first: Exness (via a tier-1 entity where available).
- Smallest budget and cent accounts: Weltrade.
- Synthetic indices variety: Deriv; MT5-focused synthetics: Weltrade.
- Automation without coding: Deriv Bot.

FAQ
Is Weltrade better than Exness?
Not overall. Exness is more heavily regulated and larger; Weltrade is more accessible for very small deposits and offers synthetic instruments that Exness lacks.
Is Weltrade SyntX the same as Deriv synthetic indices?
No. Both are algorithmic 24/7 instruments, but they use different models and names, and prices are not related to each other.
Which has the lower minimum deposit?
Weltrade starts from $1, Deriv from $5 and Exness from $10 on the Standard account.
Risk warning: CFDs and synthetic indices are complex instruments with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. This comparison is for information only and is not investment advice. Conditions vary by country and change over time.
